This package is required when you install Windows XP without the Disk to Disk Utility. - This package is language independent and can be used with any language system. What This Package Does ----------------------- Each of the ThinkPad listed below will have some conflicts or problems when you install Windows XP. This package contains some supplement files to solve the conflicts or problems for Windows XP. The following ThinkPad computers are supported: - ThinkPad R32 To determine if you should update the supplement files, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. To update the supplement files, refer to the Installation instructions section. Released Versions ----------------- Version 1.00 Initial release Summary of Changes ------------------ Where: Version (for example, 1.00 means Version 1.00) (New) New function or enhancement (Fix) Correction to existing function <1.00> - (New) Support for ThinkPad R32 Installation instructions ------------------------- (Note) - To determine if you should update the supplement files, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. NOTES: Before this installation, apply the latest video driver to system "xxxxx' which appears in the following instructions is the maximum Resolution of your display panel. 1. Click the right mouse button on the desktop to open display Properties. 2. Select the Settings button. 3. Click the Advanced button. 4. Select the Monitor tab and then Select Plug and Play Monitor 5. Click the Properties button 6. Select the Driver Tab and click the Update Driver button, and then the Hardware Update Wizard appears 7. Select Install from a list or specific location [Advanced] and click the Next button 8. Select Don't search, I will chose the driver to install and click Next 9. Click the Have Disk button 10. Click the Browse button 11. Change the directory for \IBMTPLCD\ 12. Select IBMTPLCD.INF, then Click the Open button and click OK 13. Select Show compatible hardware on upper-left 14. Select the displayed model of IBM ThinkPad IPS xxxxx LCD Panel or IBM ThinkPad xxxxx LCD Panel 15. Click the Next button. 16. Click the Finish button and the Close button 17. Click the Color Management tab 18. Click the Add button and select a icm file of IBMTPIPS or IBMTPLCD in the %Root%\system32\spool\drivers\color directory 19. Click the Add button and click OK Unattended Install: 1.Create or Add OemPnPDriversPath="folder for ICC Color Profile" under [Unattended] section in an Unattend.txt. For example, OemPnPDriversPath="DRIVERS\OTHER" 2.Create the folder with the name of "folder for ICC Color Profile". For example, c:\DRIVERS\OTHER 3.Put all the files within the folder created above.
