What This Package Does
----------------------

This package contains:
        - C3 State Profile support*
        - O2 Cardbus Package support*
        - IBM LCD Color Profile

* If you use the Product Recovery CD shipped with your ThinkPad to
  restore the Windows 2000 preload environment, you do not need this
  package. This package is required when you install Windows 2000
  without the Product Recovery CD.


The following ThinkPad computers are supported:

   - ThinkPad R30

To determine if you should update the supplement files, refer to the
"Summary of Changes" section.

To update the supplement files, refer to the "Installation
Instructions" section.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
C3 State Profile
 1. Start Windows 2000 and log on with the user ID authorized as 
    an administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\SUPP\USBPM\C3USB2K.REG in the Open box and
    click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Restart the system for the driver to take effect.

O2 Cardbus Package
 1. Start Windows 2000 and log on with the user ID authorized as 
    an administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\SUPP\Cardbus\O2UPDATE.EXE in the Open box and
    click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Restart the system for the driver to take effect.

IBM LCD Color Profile
NOTE: If the correct video driver has not been installed on the system,
      install the video driver prior to the IBM LCD Color Profile.

 1. Start Windows 2000.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click the right mouse button on the desktop to open Display Property.
 4. Click the Settings tab.
 5. Click Advanced.
 6. Select the Monitor tab and then click Properties.
 7. Select the Driver tab, then Update Driver.
    Upgrade Device Driver Wizard starts.
 8. Click Next.
 9. Select Display a list of the known drivers for this device so
    that I can choose a specific driver.
10. Click Next.
11. Click Have Disk.
12. Click Browse, and search the location where the file IBMTPLCD.INF
    exits.
13. Click IBMTPLCD.INF and then click Open.
14. Click OK.
15. Select the panel that you use now and click Next.
16. Click Next at start device driver installation wizard.
17. Click Finish.
18. Close Display Properties.
