This package enables or updates the display function of the following ThinkPad computers: - ThinkPad 380Z - ThinkPad 600E/X To determine if you have to update the display driver or not, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. Installation Guide ------------------ (Note) To determine if you have to update the display driver or not, please refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. 1. Boot to DOS and go to the Windows directory (usually C:\>WINDOWS). 2. Insert the Video Features for Windows diskette into the diskette drive. 3. Type Setup and press Enter. 4. Using the cursor-moving keys, highlight the Display field and press Enter. 5. Scroll down to the bottom and select "Other (Requires disk...)" in the list. 6. Specify "A:\" 7. Select a preferred display resolution, color depth, and font size. Then press Enter. 8. Follow the instructions on the screen. How to determine what version is installed ------------------------------------------ When version is 1.23 or later, you can determine the version number by below steps. When version is previous version than 1.23, you can determine by file time stamp. 1. Boot to DOS and go to the Windows directory (usually C:\>WINDOWS). 2. Type Setup and press Enter. 3. Check Display field. 'NeoMagic vX.XX' stands for version number. If the text string is 'MagicMedia256AV', please check time stamp of below files.
