What This Package Does
-----------------------
This package provides the display driver for Windows Me users.
This package enables or updates the display function of the 
following ThinkPad computers:

   - ThinkPad i Series 1200(1161-11U/41U/51U/71U)
   - ThinkPad i Series 1300(1171-61U/81U/91U/21U/2AU/71U)

         When the display color mode is 24 bit, the name of icon on 
         the desktop won't be refreshed. 

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
If you have newly installed Windows Me on the system,  
follow the procedure indicated as Clean Installation. 
Otherwise, follow the procedure indicated as Update 
Installation.

- Update Installation -
 1. Start Windows Me.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 4. Double click the System icon.
 5. Click the Device Manager tab at the top of 
    the System Properties window.
 6. Double click Display adapters in the list.
 7. Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
 8. Click Properties.
 9. Click the Driver tab at the top of 
    the Silicon Motion LynxEM+ window.
10. Click Update Driver.
11. Click Specify the location of the driver(Advanced).
12. Click Next.
13. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, 
    so you can select the driver you want.
14. Click Next.
15. Click Have Disk.
16. Type in C:\DRIVERS\WME\DISPLAY.
17. Click OK.
18. Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
19. Click OK.
20. Click Next.
21. Click Finish.
22. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.

- Clean Installation -
 1. Start Windows Me.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 4. Double click the System icon.
 5. Click the Device Manager tab at the top of 
    the System Properties window.
 6. Double click Display adapters in the list.
 7. Click Standard PCI Graphics Adapter(VGA).
 8. Click Properties.
 9. Click the Driver tab at the top of 
    the Standard PCI Graphics Adapter(VGA) window.
10. Click Update Driver.
11. Click Specify the location of the driver(Advanced).
12. Click Next.
13. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, 
    so you can select the driver you want.
14. Click Next.
15. Click Have Disk.
16. Type in C:\DRIVERS\WME\DISPLAY.
17. Click OK.
18. Click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
19. Click OK.
20. Click Next.
21. Click Finish.
22. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.


Determining which version is installed 
--------------------------------------
 1. Start Windows Me.
 2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 3. Open the Display icon.
 4. Click the Settings tab.
 5. Click the Advanced button.
 6. Click the Adapter tab, and then it will show the version number.
