  This display driver version will only work with BIOS Version 1.03.57
  (or higher). Get the additional package, "System Program
  Service Diskette Version 1.04 (BIOS Version 1.03.57) or higher", and
  update the BIOS in the system prior to installing the video driver.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any
  language system.


What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the display driver for Windows 2000 users.
The display driver enables or updates the display function of the
following ThinkPad computers:

  - ThinkPad 240X, 240Z

To determine if you should update the display driver, refer to the
"Summary of Changes" section.

To update the display driver, refer to the "Installation
Instructions" section.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
 1. Start Windows 2000 and log on with the user ID authorized as
    an administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and
    click the OK button.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Restart the system for the driver to be effective.


Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Start Windows 2000.
 2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
 3. Double-click the System icon.
 4. Click the Hardware tab, then the Device Manager button.
 5. Double-click Display Adapters.
 6. Double-click Silicon Motion LynxEM+.
 7. Click Driver tab.
 8. Click Driver File Details button.
    The version is displayed in the file version line.
