This package enables or updates the display function of the following ThinkPad computers: - ThinkPad T20/T21/T22 - ThinkPad A22e Pentium model To determine if you should update the display driver, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. To update the display driver, refer to the "Installation Instructions" section. NOTE: This driver cannot be installed without Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 or later. Install the Service Pack first, then install this driver to the system. Start Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract the video drivers for Windows NT to the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE to install the video driver. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. 5. Following the instructions on the screen. To uninstall the S3 driver (and utilities, if installed): 1. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. 3. Select SavageIX in the listbox. 4. Click the Add/Remove button to remove the display driver. The utilities should be removed as well if they were installed with the driver. If necessary, the Uninstall procedure will reset the system to VGA. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click the Display icon. 3. Select the S3duovue tab. 4. Click the Information button to check the version information, for example 4.1024.720.0035.
