Installation Instructions ------------------------- Windows 98 1. Start Windows 98. 2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel. 4. Double-click the Display icon. 5. Select the Settings tab. 6. Click the Advanced button. 7. Select the Adapter tab. 8. Click the Change button. Update Device Driver Wizard runs. 9. Click the Next button. 10. Select the Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want and click the Next button. 11. Click the Have Disk button. 12. Specify the directory where the driver files are extracted and click the OK button. The video driver list appears. Default path is C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY. 13. Windows 98 finds NeoMagic MagicMedia 256ZX then click the OK button. If Windows 98 displays Update Driver Warning message box, click the Yes button to continue to install. 14. Make sure the location is same one that you specified above then click the Next button. Windows 98 copies all driver files to your system. 15. After driver files are copied, click the Finish button. 16. Click the Close button to close the Adapter tab. 17. Select color depth and resolution. 18. Click the Close button to close Display Properties. 19. Click the Yes button to restart Windows 98. Windows 95 (Retail Version, Service Pack 1) 1. Start Windows 95. 2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then select Settings, then click Control Panel. 4. Double-click the Display icon. 5. Select the Settings tab. 6. Click the Change Display Type button. 7. Click the Change button under Adapter type field. 8. Click the Have Disk button. 9. Click the Change button. The Update Device Driver Wizard dialog window will appear. 9. Select the Specify the location of the driver(Advanced) then click the Next button. 10. Select the Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want and click the Next button. 11. Click the Have Disk button. The Install From Disk window will appear. 12. In the Copy manufacturing file's from: box, type in C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY\ and click the OK button. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. The Select a device list will appears. 13. Confirm NeoMagic MagicMedia 256ZX is selected in the Models: field and click the OK button. 14. If Update Driver Warning appears on the screen, click the Yes button to continue to install. 15. If Version Conflict appears on the screen, click the No button to replace. 16. After driver files are copied, click the Finish button. 17. Click the Yes button to restart Windows Me.
