Notice:
-------
- This version of the Video Features will only work with:
   - ThinkPad A30, A30p system BIOS version 1.14 (or higher) 
   - ThinkPad X22, X23, X24 system BIOS version 1.26 (or higher). 
  Please get the additional package, ThinkPad BIOS Update (Diskette or
  Non-Diskette) and update the BIOS in the system with it if necessary.
- This Video Features can not be installed without Windows NT 4.0
  Service Pack 3 or later. Install the Service Pack first, then
  install this Video Features to the system.


What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the display driver for Windows NT 4.0 users.
This package enables or updates the display function of the following
ThinkPad computers:

  - ThinkPad A30, A30p
  - ThinkPad X22, X23, X24

To determine if you should update the display driver or not, refer to
the Summary of Changes section.

To update the display driver, refer to the Installation Instructions
section.

         LCD screen flash intermittently appears.

 - (Fix) IBM T85a TFT monitor does not synchronize for an instant when
         switching display device from LCD to external display.


Installation Instructions
-------------------------
NOTE:
This Video Features can not be installed without Windows NT 4.0
Service Pack 3 or later. Install the Service Pack first, then
install this Video Features to the system.

INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE to
    install the video driver. Click the OK button to start the
    installation process. If you extracted the files to a different
    location, specify that location instead.
 5. At the Welcome window, click Next.
 6. At the Software License Agreement window, if you agree, click Yes.
    This will start the installation process.
 7. At the Setup Complete window, put a check mark in Yes, I want to
    restart my computer now, and click Finish.
 8. Restart the system.

UNATTENDED INSTALL:
NOTE: This is for system administrators' use only.

 1. Start Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. Run SETUP.EXE in extracted folder with /K -SMS option.
    For example,
      C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE /K -SMS

 If a problem happens at operation above, follow procedure below.

 1. Start Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package to the hard disk drive.
 3. Run SETUP.EXE in CPanel directory in extracted folder with /K -SMS
    option. For example,
      C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\CPanel\SETUP.EXE /K -SMS
 4. Run SETUP.EXE in Driver directory in extracted folder with /K -SMS
    option.
    For example,
      C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\Driver\SETUP.EXE /K -SMS


Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
 2. Double-click the Display icon.
 3. Select the Options tab. The Product Version contains the version
    information.
