What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the display driver for Windows NT 4.0 users.
This package enables or updates the display function of the following
ThinkPad computer:

  - ThinkPad X40

To determine if you should update the display driver or not, refer to
the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the display driver, please refer to the "Installation
Instructions" section.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
Install
 1. Start Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract the video drivers for Windows NT to the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE to
    install the video driver. Click the OK button to start the
    installation process. If you extracted the files to a different
    location, specify that location instead.
 5. At the Welcome window click Next.
 6. At the Software License Agreement window, if you agree, click Yes.
    This will start the installation process.
 7. At the Setup Complete window, select the Yes, I want to
    restart my computer now option and click Finish.
 8. Restart the system.

Unattended install
NOTE: This is for system administrators' use only.

 1. Start Windows NT 4.0 and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\VIDEO\SETUP -K -SMS
    and click OK. If you extracted the files to a different location,
    specify that location instead.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED:
 1. Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
 2. Double-click the Display icon.
 3. Select the Settings tab.
 4. Click the Display Type button. The version number will be displayed
    in the Driver information area.
