What This Package Does
-----------------------
This package provides the display driver for Windows NT users.
This package enables or updates the display function of the following
ThinkPad computers:

   - ThinkPad R31

  Note *1: There is no functional change in driver itself from 
           V4.03.1381.3205.  
           If version 4.03.1381.3205 is already installed, there is 
           no need to install this release.

 - (Fix) No display in both TV and LCD after resuming from backlight 
         off/standby/hibernation at TV only mode.

 - (Fix) The video driver may not be installed when Standard VGA 
         driver is already installed.
 - (Fix) The system is abnormal after resuming from hibernation while
         playing DVD title by WinDVD.
 - (Fix) No display on both TV and LCD after hibernation resume at 
         display is on TV.

<4.03.1381.3205a>
 - (Fix) Cannot install the Windows NT with unattended install method.
 - (Fix) Remove WEB link to Intel from Intel(R) 830M Graphics 
         Controller display properties.
   NOTE:  Latest Video Driver for ThinkPad R31 is always released from
          IBM Website.  Do not download and install the Video Driver 
          from Intel Website.  


Installation Instructions
-------------------------
 1. Start Windows NT and log on with the user ID authorized as 
    an administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
 4. Double-click the Display icon.
 5. Click the Settings tab.
 6. Click the Display Type button.
 7. Click the Change... button, then click the Have Disk... button.
 8. Specify WINNT4 with the full path name where you
    extracted the package in the step 2 in the Copy manufacturer's 
    files from field.
    Example: C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\WINNT4
 9. Click the OK button. 
10. Select Intel Corporation 830M Graphics Controller Hub and click 
    OK.
11. Click Yes. 
12. Click OK. 
13. Click Close. 
14. Click Close. 
15. Click the Yes button to restart the system for the driver to take
    effect.

UNATTENDED INSTALL
------------------
 This is for system administrators' use only.
 1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\DISPLAY\WINNT4\setup -s -nospcheck and click 
    OK.

Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Start Windows NT.
 2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 3. Double-click the Display icon.
 4. Click the Settings tab.
 5. Click the Display Type button.
 6. The version number will be displayed in the Adaptor Type area.
   NOTE : This version information does not show minor version.
          For example, the version 4.03.1381.3205a shows version 
          4.03.1381.3205.
