If version V6.13.01.3205 is already installed, there is no need to install this release. Summary of Changes ------------------ Key: Program version (for example, 1.00 means Version 1.00) (New) New function or enhancement (Fix) Correction to existing function <6.13.01.3006> - (New) Support for ThinkPad R31. <6.13.01.3013> - (Fix) No display on TV after resuming from hibernation when the system is set in both display. - (Fix) No display on TV after resuming from the screen blanking(Fn + F3). <6.13.01.3024> - (Fix) Under 1600 x 1200 resolution, if the external CRT is removed during standby, LCD becomes blank. - (Fix) If the extended display mode is enabled once and disabled again, then toggle the display by pressing Fn+F7 to LCD+CRT. It will set the display mode to extended desktop again. - (Fix) The extended desktop is still enabled after reboot the system without the external CRT attached . - (Fix) (Windows XP) Garbage appears after changing color with extended desktop. - (Fix) (Windows 2000) The task bar disappears after toggling from CRT only 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 high color mode to the dual display 1024x768 high color mode. - (Fix) (Windows 2000) The screen may be changed to virtual on dual mode after toggling from CRT only 1280x1024 mode. - (Fix) No display after shutting down from CRT only mode and boot without the external CRT. - (Fix) System may hang with black screen during .INF based unattended installation of Video Driver. NOTE: Please make sure to use the system BIOS V1.16(1FETA6WW) or later. <6.13.01.3162> - (Fix) Only 60Hz refresh rate is selectable on 1280x1024 in extended desktop mode. - (Fix) The system may hang up with a blue screen, when playing a AVI file with Windows Media Player. - (Fix) Blank screen or Screen flicker appears in extended desktop mode, when the Microsoft Power Point slide show starts on the PC monitor. - (Fix) Extended desktop can be enabled even without CRT attached. - (Fix) Blank screen may appear on the external display with CRT Monitor after standby/resume, hibernation/resume, reboot or shutdown/restart. - (Fix) System becomes unstable and reboot suddenly when a complexed 3D screen saver is set. - (Fix) Abnormal display when extended desktop is enabled. - (Fix) Garbage display in LCD after resuming from monitor off with TV attached and enabled. - (Fix) Abnormal display on LCD after resume from standby, if TV is attached and both LCD and TV enabled. - (Fix) Using ThinkPad software installer to install the VGA driver fails. - (Fix) (Windows XP) System can not toggle between display devices after playback of a DVD title. - (Fix) Abnormal display when extended desktop setting enabled and the notebook is the primary device. - (Fix) Resolution is not consistent between display properties and Intel Graphics Controller properties. - (Fix) Intel(R) 82830M Graphics Controller is not available on the Package Manager list during Uninstall sor Windows <6.13.01.3205> - (Fix) Error message pops up while silent/clean installation. <6.13.01.3205a> - (Fix) Removed the Web link to the Intel Web site from the Intel(R) 830M Graphics Controller display properties. NOTE: The latest video driver for the ThinkPad R31 is always released from the IBM Website. Do not download and install the video driver from the Intel Web site. Installation Instructions ------------------------- NOTE: Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility for Windows 98/Me/2000 3.20.1008 or later version should be installed prior to installing this video driver. 1. Start Windows 2000/XP and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator. 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\DISPLAY\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click the OK button. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. Click Finish to reboot the system. 7. After the reboot, if "System Setting Change" windows appears, click on Yes to restart the system again. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- Windows 2000 1. Start Windows 2000. 2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel. 3. Open the Display icon. 4. Click the Settings tab. 5. Click the Advanced button. 6. Select the Intel(R) Graphics Technology tab. 7. The graphics driver version should be listed on this screen. Windows XP 1. Start Windows XP. 2. Click Start, then click Control Panel. 3. Click Appearance and Themes. 4. Click the Display icon. 5. Click the Settings tab. 6. Click the Advanced button. 7. Click the Adapter tab. 8. Click the Properties button. 9. Click the Driver tab. 10. The version number will be displayed. NOTE : This version information does not show minor version. For example, the version 6.13.01.3205a shows version 6.13.01.3205.
