Notice for ThinkPad 390 and i Series 1720/1721 users:

- Previously, 'ThinkPad 390/390E Warm Swap Driver for Windows 95/98' had
  been provided for ThinkPad 390 users to enable the UltraBay FX Warm
  Swap function, but now it is replaced with this package (Swap Master
  Driver for Windows 95/98/Me).
- This version of the Swap Master Driver for Windows 95/98/Me is
  dependent upon the BIOS version. You check the BIOS version and if
  necessary, update the BIOS.  The BIOS which supports the Swap Master
  Driver for Windows 95/98/Me is as follows.

  been provided for ThinkPad 390E users to enable the UltraBay FX Warm
  Swap function, but now it is replaced with this package (Swap Master
  Driver for Windows 95/98/Me).


What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides Swap Master Driver for Windows 95/98/Me users.
The Swap Master Driver enables or updates the UltraBay FX Warm Swap
function of the following ThinkPad computer:

  - ThinkPad 390, 390E, 390X
  - ThinkPad i Series 1720/1721/1781

To determine if you should update the Swap Master Driver, refer to the 
"Summary of Changes" section.

To update the Swap Master Driver, refer to the "Installation 
Instructions" section.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
(Note)
- Before installing, you must remove any real-mode drivers such as
  MSCDEX and related drivers from the CONFIG.SYS file.
- For ThinkPad 390, 390E and i Series 1720/1721 users:
  Before installing this package, you must uninstall the Warm Swap
  Driver (Agate Tioman) if installed.


 1. Start Windows 95/98/Me.
 2. Extract this package to the hard disk drive.
 3. For ThinkPad 390X and i Series 1781 users:
       Skip to step 4.
    For ThinkPad 390, 390E and i Series 1720/1721 users:
       Click Start, select Programs. If you find Agate Tioman there,
       click Start, select Programs, select Agate Tioman, then click Uninstall
       Agate Tioman, and follow the directions.
       When prompted, restart the system.
 4. Click Start, then click Run.
 5. Type C:\DRIVERS\W9X\BAYSWAP\SETUP.EXE and click OK.
 6. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Uninstalling the driver
-----------------------
 1. Start Windows 95/98/Me.
 2. Right click the Swap Master icon and select Unload Swap Master
    to remove the program from active memory.
 3. Click OK at the Unload Swap Master window.
 4. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 5. Double click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
 6. Select Swap Master so that it is highlighted.
 7. Click the Add/Remove button.
 8. Follow the prompts on the screen.
 9. Shut down and restart the computer.
