IBM ThinkPad 240, 240X, 240Z October 18, 2000 Configuration Utility for Windows 95 (Non-ActiveX) Version 1.12 ====================================================================== What This Package Does ---------------------- This package provides the ThinkPad Configuration program for Windows 95 users. The ThinkPad Configuration program allows you to set up and customize the computer's built-in devices. Previously, there was only one Configuration Utility for Windows 95/98 and 2000. In order to use that Utility program under Windows 95, you had to install Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher, to provide ActiveX support. Now, with this release of the Configuration Utility for Windows 95, you no longer need to have Internet Explorer installed in order to use the Utility program. This means there are now two versions of the ThinkPad Configuration program available for Windows 95 users. You should only install one of them depending on your system configuration. There are no functional differences between the two programs. - A ActiveX Configuration Utility program for Windows 95/98/Me/2000 requiring Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher. - And a non-ActiveX Configuration Utility program for Windows 95 which does not require Internet Explorer to be installed. This release supports the following ThinkPad computers: - ThinkPad 240, 240X, 240Z To determine if you should update the utility program, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. To update the utility program, refer to the "Installation Instructions" section.
