Installation Instructions ------------------------- 1. Start Windows 95/98. 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. Type [Program Path]\SETUP, and click OK. Program Path is the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- 1. Start the ThinkPad Configuration program. The main screen will be displayed. 2. Select Help, then select About menu. About dialog will be displayed. 3. The version will be displayed next to Utility. Note ---- *1: Version 4.02 can not fix this problem which is caused by the previous version of Utility Diskette. If this condition happens, it must be fixed in the following way. 1. get the following file. (Registry File for import) i7u5fix1.reg 2. Start Explorer and find the above file. Then, double click it. or, start MS-DOS Prompt and execute regedit i7u5fix1.reg. *2 If you install version 4.18 or later over version 4.17 or earlier, install On Screen Display package also. From Version 4.18, the Utility does not install the On Screen Display package. The On Screen Display Program now has it's own installation program.
