  The following diskettes are needed for Windows 95 users:
     - Utility Diskette for Windows 95
     - Utility Diskette for DOS, Personalization

     - Utility Data Diskette I
       (for ThinkPad 7xx family)
     - Utility Data Diskette II
       (for ThinkPad 3xx family)
     - Utility Data Diskette III
       (for ThinkPad 5xx family)

What These Diskettes Do

The Utility Diskettes provide the following utility programs for
Windows 95:
 - ThinkPad Configuration program (setup program)
 - Fuel-Gauge program

         the option menu of ThinkPad Configuration will not respond
         to user input.

         while minimized to the Taskbar, the program will not start
         properly thereafter.   ( refer to Note *1. )

Installation Guide
------------------

(For Windows 95)

  1. Start Windows 95.
  2. Insert the Utility Diskette for Windows 95
     into the diskette drive.
  3. Click on Start; then click on Run...
  4. Type A:\SETUP and click on OK.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Note
----
*1: Version 4.02 can not fix this problem which is caused by the
    previous version of Utility Diskette.  If this condition happens,
    it must be fixed in the following way.
    1. get the following file.  (Registry File for import)
       i7u5fix1.reg
    2. start "Exlpore" and find the above file. Then, double click it.
       or,
       start "MS-DOS Prompt" and excecute "regedit i7u5fix1.reg"
