What This Package Does
-----------------------
This package provides the following utility program for Windows Me
users.
   - ThinkPad Configuration program

This package enables or updates the utility programs of the following
ThinkPad computers:
   - ThinkPad 390
   - ThinkPad i series 1720/1721

(Note:)
This program is only for Windows Me. How to check if your system has
been installed Windows Me or other Operating Systems such as Windows 98
or Windows 95 is:
 1. Start Windows.
 2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
 3. Double-click on System icon.
    You can see the General information at 'System Properties'.
    System:
       Microsoft Windows Me
       4.90.3000.
    or you can see the Windows Me logo screen when the system boots up.

To determine if you have to update the utility program or not, please
refer to the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the utility program, please refer to the "Installation Guide"
section.

Installation Guide
------------------
(For Windows Me)
 1. Start Windows Me.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. In the Open field, type "C:\DRIVERS\W9X\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE" to
    install the Utility driver. Click the 'OK' button to start the
    installation process. If you extracted the files to a different
    location, specify that location instead.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
