What This Package Does
----------------------
This package contains the following package for Windows NT 4.0 users:

 - Utility for Windows NT 4.0

This package enables or updates the Configuration Utility programs for
the following IBM ThinkPad computers:

 - ThinkPad R30
 - ThinkPad R31

  -(New) Support for ThinkPad R30, R31.

 -(Fix) The system does not enter suspend by timer if the ThinkPad
        Utility application is open.

 -(Fix) The system may hang when resuming from hibernation with IBM 1GB 
        Microdrive.

        NOTE:   This issue occurs only when IBM ThinkPad USBAccess for                                    Windows NT is installed and IBM Microdrive with SystemSoft                               CardWizard for Windows NT.  
                     To solve this issue, Please install the registry patch as follow:

                     1. Start Windows NT and logon with administrative privileges.
                     2. Click Start, click Run.
                     3. Type C:\WinNT\system32\TPPMFIX.REG and click OK.
                     4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
                     5. Restart the system for the registry to be effective.

Installation instructions
-------------------------
NOTE: If you have a previous version of the ThinkPad Configuration 
Utility installed it must be removed and the system rebooted prior 
to installing the new version.  

 1. Start Windows NT and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WNT\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE and click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Restart the system for the utility to be effective.


Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
For the different Wizards, to display the version information on the 
first screen of the Configuration Utility:

 1. Start the ThinkPad Configuration program. The main screen will be
    displayed.
 2. Click Help and then click About. The version will be displayed next
    to Utility Data in the about window.
