NOTE: There is no change to the driver itself. If you have already updated the system to this version, you do not need to apply this release. Installation instructions ------------------------- 1. Start Windows 2000/XP, logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE and click OK. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. Restart the system for the driver to be effective. Unattended installation If you prefer unattended installation, follow process below. 1. Start Windows 2000/XP, logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. Type the following command line 4-A or 4-B. 4-A. System won't reboot automatically C:\DRIVERS\WIN\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE /q REBOOT="R" 4-B. System will reboot automatically C:\DRIVERS\WIN\UTILITY\SETUP.EXE /q Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- For the different Wizards, to display the version information on the first screen of the Configuration Utility: 1. Start the ThinkPad Configuration program. The main screen will be displayed. 2. Click Help, then click About. The About dialog window will be displayed. 3. The version will be displayed next to Utility Data.
