Installation Instructions
-------------------------
1. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
2. Attach the USB Portable Diskette Drive to the system.
3. If the dialog requesting for the driver appears, begin from step  
   9 of Update install for Windows 98.
4. If the dialog requesting for the driver does not appear, follow
     the instruction Update install for Windows 98 from the beginning.


Update install for Windows 98
 1. Turn off the system and detach USB Portable Diskette Drive.
 2. Start Windows 98.
 3  Click Start, point to select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 4. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
 5. Click Install/Uninstall.
 6. Select TeacUsbFloppyDiskDriver.
 7. Click Add/Remove.
 8. Attach USB Portable Diskette Drive to the system.
  Add New Hardware Wizard will automatically be opened.
 9. Click Next in Add New Hardware Wizard.
10. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific
    location, so you can select the driver you want.
11. Click Next.
12. Click Floppy disk controllers in the list, and click 
    Next.
13. Click Have Disk.
14. Click Browse then point to the appropriate location where the 
    package was unzipped.
15. Click OK.
16. Select PnP TEAC USB FDD in the list.
17. Click Next.
18. Click Next.
19. Click Finish.
20. Restart the system.


Installation Guide for Windows Me

 1. Start WinME with the USB-FDD attached.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 4. Double-click System.
 5. Click Device Manager.
 6. Click Floppy disk controllers, then click PnP TEAC USB FDD. 
 7. Click Universal Serial Bus Controller then click TEAC USB Floppy.
 8. Click Properties.
 9. Click Driver.
10. Click Update Driver.
11. In the Update Device Driver Wizard window, click Specify the 
    location.
12. Click Next.
13. Select Display a list, then click Next.
14. Click Have Disk.
15. Click Browse then point to the appropriate location where the 
    package was unzipped.
16. Click OK.
17. Click the Yes button if the Update Driver Warning window appears.
18. Click Next.
19. Click Finish.
20. Restart the system.


Determining which version is installed         
--------------------------------------
 1. Start Windows 98 / Windows Me.
 2. Attach IBM USB Portable Diskette Drive to the system
 3. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
 4. Double-click System. 
 5. Click Device Manager.
 6. Expand Floppy disk controllers.
 7. Select PnP TEAC USB FDD and click Properties.
 8. Click Driver.
 9. Click Driver File Details.
10. Click %WINDOWS%\SYSTEM\TEACVSDD.VXD (%WINDOWS% is the name of the 
    folder where Windows installed). 
11. Click %WINDOWS%\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS\TEACVSDD.VXD (%WINDOWS% is the 
    name of the folder where Windows installed). 
12. File version column shows the driver version.
