What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the Wireless LAN driver for IBM High Rate 
Wireless LAN Mini PCI combo card for Windows 98, Windows 2000 and 
Windows XP.

This package supports Wireless LAN installed models of the following
systems:

  - ThinkPad R32

To install the Wireless LAN driver, refer to the Installation 
instructions section.

Installation instructions
-------------------------
ThinkPad Software Installer provides install and uninstall wizards for
this package.  

Windows  98/2000/XP
 1. Start Windows.  For Windows 2000/XP, log on with a user ID 
    authorized as an administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start and then click Run.
 4. In the run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANACT\SETUP.EXE
    to install the driver. Click OK to start the installation process.
    If you have extracted the files to a different location, specify
    this location instead.
 5. Follow the instructions.
 6. Click Finish when prompted to restart the system.


UNINSTALL 
---------

Windows  98/2000/XP
 1. Start Windows.  For Windows 2000/XP, log on with a user ID 
    authorized as an administrator.
 2. Click Start and then click Run.
 3. In the run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANACT\SETUP.EXE
    to uninstall the driver. Click OK to start the uninstallation 
    process.  If you have extracted the files to a different location,
    specify this location instead.
 4. Select Remove and follow the instructions
 5. Click Finish when prompted to restart the system.


Unattended Install 
------------------
This procedure is intended only for system administrators.


Windows 98/2000/XP
------------------------
 1. Sample SETUP.ISS file is included in this package.
 2. Start Windows.  For Windows 2000/XP, log on with a user ID 
    authorized as an administrator.
 3. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 4. Click Start and then click Run.
 5. In the run dialog window, type 
    C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANACT\SETUP.EXE -s to install the driver. Click 
    OK to start the installation process.  If you have extracted the 
    files to a different location, specify this location instead.
 6. Driver will silently install and the system will reboot.
      

Determining which version is installed 
--------------------------------------
1. Double-click the IBM High Rate Wireless LAN Mini PCI Combo Card
   Configuration Utility icon in the system tray.
2. Click the About tab. It displays the version of the driver.
