IBM Bluetooth Software on-line help has information on the following Bluetooth profiles, but they are not supported on Bluetooth Daughter Card: Audio Gateway, Headset, and HID (Human Interface Devices) B. My Bluetooth Places shows the following Bluetooth devices when they are in connection range, but they are not supported on Bluetooth Daughter Card. Trying to connect to such devices may incur an error. Audio Gateway, Headset, and HID (Human Interface Devices) C. When using Bluetooth Printer in Windows 98 SE/Me, follow the instructions below: 1. Right-click on Bluetooth icon in the task-tray 2. Select Quick Connect, Bluetooth Serial Port, and click Find Devices 3. Select the printer that you want to connect and click Connect button 4. My Bluetooth Places dialog box appears and click OK button 5. When Serial Port dialog box appears, remember the serial port number (COM #), and click OK 6. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, and open Printers 7. Double-click Add printer and click Next 8. Select Local printer, click Next, and then install your printer driver 9. Select the serial port that has been configured in step 5 (COM #) and click Next 10. Click Next 11. Select Yes to print a test page and click Finish button This program is language independent and can be used with any language system. What This Package Does ---------------------- This package provides the Bluetooth software for Microsoft Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP. The Bluetooth software enables or updates the Bluetooth functions of the following ThinkPad computers integrated with Bluetooth Daughter Card (IBM Integrated Bluetooth). Uninstallation instructions: 1. Click Start, then click Control Panel, then click Add or Remove Programs. 2. Select IBM Bluetooth Software and click Remove button. 3. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen. 4. Click OK button when Information dialog box is displayed, that says Please turn off your Bluetooth device before continuing with the uninstallation NOTE: If this message is not displayed, please find and click Information icon displayed in the task bar. Until this button is pressed, the uninstallation does not go on. Installation instructions: NOTE: 1. Please do not turn on the Bluetooth power before you complete the Bluetooth software installation. 2. ThinkPad Software Installer provides install/(uninstall) wizard for this package for the following operating systems. Before using the ThinkPad Software Installer, you need to uninstall the previous or current software in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. - Windows 98 SE - Windows Me - Windows 2000 - Windows XP Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP 1. After restarting the computer, press Bluetooth power button to turn on Bluetooth and to load IBM Integrated Bluetooth device driver NOTE: 1. In Windows XP, when you are turning on BDC power for the first time after the software installation, the operating system displays Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box (this is a known limitation), then press Next> button and then Finish button 2. During the installation, please do not touch the keyboard, the TrackPoint or TouchPad, and any mouse. 3.
