This driver enables or updates the AGP function of Ali M1632(CyberBLADE Ai1) chipset. Only the following Machine Types and Models are supported: - ThinkPad R30 Released Version ---------------- Version 1.70 Initial release Version 1.80 A problem fix Version 1.80a A problem fix Summary of Changes ------------------ Key: Program version (for example, 1.00 means Version 1.00) (New) New function or enhancement (Fix) Correction to existing function <1.70> - (New) Support for ThinkPad R30 <1.80> - (Fix) This driver is not installed under Windows 2000 SP2 enviroment. <1.80a> - (Fix) Can not install by ThinkPad Software Installer. NOTE: There is no change to the driver itself. If you have already updated the system to this version, you do not need to apply this release. Installation Instructions ------------------------- Windows 98/Me 1. Start Windows 98/Me. 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start then click Run. 4. In the Run dialog window, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AGP\SETUP.EXE to install the ALI AGP driver. Click OK to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. Restart the system for the driver to be effective. Windows 2000 1. Start Windows 2000 and log on with a user ID authorized as an administrator. If Windows 2000 fails to boot into, press F8 at Windows 2000 booting menu to select Safe Mode. 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AGP\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click OK. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. Restart the system for the driver to be effective. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- Windows 2000 1. Start Windows 2000. 2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel. 3. Double click the Add/Remove Programs icon. 4. Click the Change or Remove Programs Icon. 5. The version number will be displayed. Windows 98/Me 1. Start Windows 98/Me. 2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel. 3. Double click the Add/Remove Programs icon. 4. Click the Install/Uninstall tab. 5.
