Hibernation Utility Diskette II for Standalone Boot

What This Diskette Does
-----------------------
Prior to using hibernation mode, you need to create a hibernation file
on the hard drive. This diskette provides the hibernation utility
program which creates the hibernation file.

The following Operating Systems are supported:
  - DOS
  - Windows 95
  - Windows 98/98 SE
  - Windows NT 4.0 with FAT file system
  - OS/2 with FAT file system
  (Note) Supported OS depends on ThinkPad models.

The following ThinkPad models are supported.
  - ThinkPad A20m, A20p, A21e, A21m, A21p, A22m, A22p, A22e
  - ThinkPad A30, A30p
  - ThinkPad A31(*2), A31p(*2)
  - ThinkPad T20(*4), T21(*4), T22(*4), T23(*4)(*2)
  - ThinkPad T30(*2)(*4)
  - ThinkPad T40(*2)(*4), T41(*2)(*4), T42(*2)(*4), T43(*2)(*4)
  - ThinkPad X20(*1), X21(*1), X22(*1), X23(*1), X24(*1)
  - ThinkPad X30(*1)(*2), X31(*1)(*2)
  - ThinkPad TransNote(*1)(*2)(*3)
  - ThinkPad R40(*2)
  (Note) *1: DOS, OS/2 are not supported.
         *2: Windows 95 is not supported.
         *3: Windows NT 4.0 is not supported.
         *4: OS/2 is supported. (Some models only.)


Limitations:
  - Hibernation function does not work when OS/2 Boot Manager is
    installed.
  - Hibernation function does not work with NTFS/HPFS file systems.
  - Hibernaiton by hibernation partition is not supported.
    Please do not select the item '1. Create partition' in this
    diskette.

To determine if you should update the hibernation utility, refer to
the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the hibernation utility, refer to the "Installation Guide"
section.

Installation Guide

(Note)
ThinkPad Software Installer does not support installation/uninstallation of this package.
To determine if you should update the hibernation utility, refer to
the "Summary of Changes" section.

INSTALL:
 1. Insert this diskette into the diskette drive of ThinkPad.
 2. Turn on the power of ThinkPad.
 3. Follow the instruction on the screen.

HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT VERSION IS INSTALLED:
  On the screen, you can see only major version.

  By checking the volume label of the diskette, you can determine full
  version number as follows.
