What This Package Does
-----------------------
This package provides the following utility programs for
Windows 2000/XP users:
 - Presentation Director

This package enables or updates the utility programs of the following
ThinkPad computers:

 - ThinkPad A31, A31p
 - ThinkPad R32, R40
 - ThinkPad T30
 - ThinkPad X30

 -(New) Initial release to support Fn + F7 function.

<2.00a>
 -(New) A default value is changed.
        When you apply a Presentation scheme for dual (LCD+CRT) with
        Presentation Director on ThinkPad Axx, the image
        on the LCD screen may not be shown at full size.
        This is the default.
 -(Fix) When you start Presentation Director in CRT only mode on the
        ThinkPad Axx, LCD refresh rate setting does not work         correctly.
 -(Fix) When you do overwrite installation, preset scheme of which          you modified settings is lost.

<2.01>
 -(New) Support ThinkPad R40
 -(New) A default folder is changed from [ThinkPad]->[ThinkPad         Utilities]to [Access IBM].
 -(New) Wizard header backgroud bitmap is updated.
 -(New) Initial Fn+F7 settings panel is removed.
 -(New) The default preset presentation scheme values are changed to
        disable power management function.
 -(Fix) The Task tray icon setting is lost after overwrite         installation.
 -(Fix) Failure to switch display settings on ThinkPad with
        SXGA+ LCD panel.


Installation Guide
------------------
NOTE:
- To determine if you should update the utility programs, refer to   the "Summary of Changes" section.
- ThinkPad Software Installer provides install/uninstall wizard for     this package.

INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows 2000/XP and logon with a User ID of an         Administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
 3. Click Start and select Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\PDIRECT\SETUP.EXE, and click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

NOTES:
- You need to install the following packages to enable Fn + F7     function.

    - IBM ThinkPad Power Management Driver V1.21 or later
    - IBM ThinkPad On Screen Display V3.00 or later
        This program is included in IBM ThinkPad Hotkey Features              package V 1.02.0271 or later.

- If you have ThinkPad Configuration version 1.24a or earlier       installed, uninstall it and reboot before installing this package.    Then install the following packages:
	- IBM ThinkPad Configuration package
	- IBM ThinkPad Battery MaxiMiser and Power Management 		          Features package
	- IBM ThinkPad EasyEject Utility

Silent Installation Guide (for Unattended Installation support)
---------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:This is for system administrators' use only.

 1. Start Windows 98/Me/2000/XP. For Windows 2000/XP, logon with a     User
    ID of Administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
 3. Click Start and select Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\W2K\PDIRECT\SETUP.EXE -S -SMS, and click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT VERSION IS INSTALLED:

 1. Start Presentation Director.
 2. Click "New Scheme..." button on "Manage Presentation Director
    Settings"  The version will be displayed.
