  This package installs the following update module (QFE) provided by
  Microsoft.

  909667   A Windows XP-based computer with the USB camera attached
           stops responding during standby or hibernation operation or
           when you try to use the Shut Down command.

  This package can be applied on the ThinkPad computers listed above
  when Windows XP SP2 is installed on them.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
  If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  install the software.

Manual Install

  1. Logon with a User ID with Administrator privilege.
  2. Execute OSX052US.exe to extract this package onto the hard drive.
     The default extraction location is
     C:\DRIVERS\OSFIXES\WXPUP\Q909667
  3. Click start, the click Run.
  4. In the Open field, run 909667us.exe with the full path where this
     package was extracted in step 2:
     Example: C:\DRIVERS\OSFIXES\WXPUP\Q909667\909667US.EXE
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Manual Uninstall

  1. Logon with a User ID with Administrator privilege.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Click Remove of the QFE Q909667.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
