Note2: You can install this package using ThinkPad Software Installer on Windows2000. [Windows 2000] 1. Right click "My Computer". 2. Select "Properties". 3. Select "Hardware" tab. 4. Click "Device Manager" button. 5. Double click "PCMCIA adapters". 6. Double click "Generic CardBus Controller". 7. Select "Driver" tab. 8. Click "Update Driver". 9. Click "Next" on "Update Device Driver Wizard". 10.Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)". 11.Click "Next" button. 12.Check "Specify a location" 13.Specify the path of the files. 14.Click "OK" button. 15.Click "Next". 16.Click "Finish". 17.Click "Close". 18.Double click "Generic CardBus Controller". 19.Repeat step 7 through step 17. Unattended installation If you prefer unattended installation, follow process below. 1. Create or Add OemPnPDriversPath="folder for TI PCI1520" under [Unattended] section in an Unattend.txt. For example, OemPnPDriversPath="DRIVERS\OTHER" 2. Create the folder with the name of "folder for TI PCI1520". For example, c:\DRIVERS\OTHER 3. Put all the files within the folder created above. Files are: ticb2k.cat TICB2K.INF [Windows 98/98SE] 1. Open Device Manager from Control Panel. 2. Open 'PCMCIA socket' brunch. 3. Right click on 'Generic CardBus Controller' and select 'Properties'. 4. Click 'Driver' tab. 5. Click 'Update Driver' button. 6. Click 'Next'. 7. Select 'Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now. (Recommended)' option. 8. Click 'Next'. 9. Select 'Specify a location:'. 10. Click 'Browse' and specify the directory name where you extracted this package PCI1520 subfolder, then click 'OK'. 11. Click 'Next' twice. 12. If 'Insert Disk' dialog is displayed, please insert the disk specify the 'Win98' directory on CD-ROM, or local HDD copy of Windows 98 and then click 'OK' twice. 13. Click 'Finish'. 14. Repeat from step 2 to 13 for another 'Generic CardBus Controller'. Unattended Install (before Windows 98/SE setup). tgt_drv:\tgt_dir: Drive Letter and temporary directory of Windows 98/SE cabinet file copied from CD-ROM. (e.g. C:\WIN98) 1. Type "COPY C:\DRIVERS\W9X\SUPP\PCI1520\TI.INF tgt_drv:\tgt_dir\PCMCIA.INF" and press enter. 2. Type "COPY C:\DRIVERS\W9X\SUPP\PCI1520\TI-CBus.CAT' tgt_drv:\tgt_dir" and press enter. [Windows Me] 1. Right click "My Computer". 2. Select "Properties". 3. Select "Device Manager" tab. 4. Open "PCMCIA socket" brunch. 5. Right click on "Generic CardBus Controller" and select "Properties". 6. Click "Driver" tab. 7. Click "Update Driver" button. 8. Select "Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)" option. 10. Click "Next". 11. Select "Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now. (Recommended)". 12. Check "Specify a location:", then specify the directory name where you extracted this package PCI1520 subfolder, then click "Next". 13. Click "Next", and follow the instruction the dialog. 14. Repeat from step 4 to 13 for another "Generic CardBus Controller".
