Supported Models ---------------- The following ThinkPad models are supported. - ThinkPad 770 9549-1AU - ThinkPad 770ED 9549-5AU - ThinkPad 600 21U - ThinkPad 600 41U - ThinkPad 600 51U Supported Modem Country Phase ----------------------------- ThinkPad 600 1.10 ThinkPad 770 1.30 ThinkPad 770ED 1.40 Supported Countries ------------------- ThinkPad 600 (Modem Phase 1.1) - Austria - Canada - Denmark - Finland - Germany - Japan - Netherlands - Norway - Sweden - United Kingdom - USA ThinkPad 770 and 770ED (Modem Phase 1.4) - Australia - Austria - Belgium - Brazil - Canada - China (Peoples Republic of) - Denmark - Finland - France - Germany - Hong Kong - Israel - Italy - Japan - Korea (South) - Luxembourg - Malaysia - Mexico - Netherlands - New Zealand - Norway - Saudi Arabia - Singapore - Spain - Sweden - Switzerland - Taiwan, Republic of China - Thailand - United Kingdom - USA Installation Guide ------------------ 1) Run A:\SETUP.EXE and follow the instructions. 2) There are four command-line arguments you may choose from: cidautorestart- This will not prompt the user with the first dialog box which gives the option to exit the install. At the end of the install the system will automatically Reboot. cidasktorestart- This will not prompt the user with the first dialog box which gives the option to exit the install. At the end of the install the user WILL be asked if they wish to Exit to Windows or Reboot. cidautoexit- This will not prompt the user with the first dialog box which gives the option to exit the install. At the end of the install the system will automatically Exit to Windows. withdetail- This will pop up additional, (English only) message boxes about the installation, or in case of an installation failure, why it failed. You cannot use any of the cid features when using this feature. Example: To bypass the first user prompt but ask the user if they want to reboot on Windows 95, type: A:\SETUP CIDASKTORESTART Notes on installing from a LAN (advanced users): ------------------------------------------------ 1) To install from a LAN, copy the entire file/directory structure on this diskette to the destination path. Example: XCOPY A:\*.* G:\MISC\MDMENBLR\ /S Where A:\ is the source drive and G:\MISC\MDMENBLR is the destination path. The '/S' will copy all the subdirectories. 2) There are three command-line arguments that you may choose from to bypass the user screen prompts. They are: cidautorestart- This option will not prompt the user with the option to exit the installation. At the end of the installation the system will automatically reboot. cidasktorestart- This option will not prompt the user with the option to exit the installation. At the end of the installation the user will be asked if they wish to 'Exit to Windows/OS2' or 'Reboot'. cidautoexit- This option will not prompt the user with the option to exit the installation. At the end of the installation the system will automatically exit to Windows or OS/2.
