This package enables or updates the utility programs of the following ThinkPad systems: - ThinkPad T60p (Machine Type: 2007, 2613) Released Versions ----------------- Version 1.00 Initial release Summary of Changes ------------------ Where: Version (for example, 1.00 means Version 1.00) (New) New function or enhancement (Fix) Correction to existing function <1.00> - (New) Initial release for ThinkPad T60p Installation Guide ------------------ (Note) - To determine if you should update the utility programs, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. INSTALL: -------- Note: If you wish to upgrade Power Manager, please uninstall it first. 1. Start SUSE Linux. 2. In a terminal window, type the su (switch user) command to obtain root privileges. 3. Type uname -r to determine the RPM package ex. 2.6.16.21-0.8-smp, then l79p12us-2.6.16-21-smp.rpm ex. 2.6.16.21-0.8-bigsmp, then l79p12us-2.6.16-21-bigsmp.rpm 4. Copy the RPM file to the hard drive, for example, /home/tvt directory. 5. Change directory to the location where you saved the file. 6. Type rpm -ihv [Package Name].rpm. ex. rpm -ihv l79p12us-2.6.16-21-smp.rpm UNINSTALL: ---------- 1. Start SUSE Linux. 2. Login as root. 3. In a terminal window, type rpm -e L79P. Note: the su (switch user) command can't be used.
