What This Package Does
-----------------------
This package provides the audio driver for Windows 95/98 users.
The audio driver enables or updates the audio function.

This release supports the following systems:
   - ThinkPad A20m, A20p, T20 (Windows 95/98/98SE)
   - ThinkPad A21m, A21p, T21 (Windows 95/98)
   - ThinkPad A22m, A22p, T22 (Windows 95/98)
   - ThinkPad A22e Pentium Model (Windows 95/98)

Installation Instructions
-------------------------

Windows 95

  1. Start the system.
  2. Extract the Audio Features for Windows 95 onto the hard disk 
     drive.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Click Run.
  5. Specify the installation program SETUP.EXE with full path you 
     extracted in the step 2 and click OK.
  6. Click the Uninstall Crystal Drivers button at the pop-up window.
     Crystal driver uninstall complete window will popup, then click 
     the Shut Down or Restart button. Re-start the system.
  7. Update Device Driver Wizard will detect PCI Multimedia Audio 
     Device, click the Next button. Then you will be asked to specify 
     the location of the Disk. Specify pathname in the step 2.
  8. The wizard will detect the driver for Crystal SoundFusion(tm) PCI 
     Audio Accelerator. Click the Finish button.
     Then you'll be asked to specify the location of the Disk. Specify 
     pathname in the step 2 clicking either Browse or Copy files from: 
     list box and click OK button. It will begin copying files. 
  9. Restart the system manually when the installation is complete.


Windows 98  

  1. Start the system.
  2. Extract the Audio Features for Windows 98 into HDD.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Click Run.
  5. Specify the installation program SETUP.EXE with full path you 
     extracted in the step 2 and click OK.
  6. Click the Uninstall Crystal Drivers button at the pop-up window.
     Crystal driver uninstall complete window will popup, then click 
     the Shut Down button. Re-start the system.
  7. Add New Hardware Wizard will detect PCI Multimedia Audio Device,
     click the Next button. Follow the instruction on the panels and 
     select Search for the best driver for your device(Recommended). 
     Then click Next button.  Check Specify Location check box when 
     it appears and give the correct path to the driver. 
     Continue with following installation wizard panels.
  8. The wizard will detect Crystal SoundFusion(tm) PCI Audio 
     Accelerator.  Click the Next button. It will begin copying 
     files.  Click the Finish button when the wizard notify you 
     Windows has finished installing the software. 
  9. Restart the system manually when the installation complete.


How to confirm the driver is installed. 
----------------------------------------
 1. Right Click My Computer.
 2. Click Properties.
 3. Click Device Manager.
 4. Click Sound, Video and game controllers.
 5. Confirm the following Crystal devices are present:
    Crystal SoundFusion(tm) Game Device
    Crystal SoundFusion(tm) PCI Audio Accelerator
    Crystal SoundFusion(tm) Virtual MPU-401


Confirming the driver version:
------------------------------
 1. Right Click My Computer.
 2. Click Properties.
 3. Click Device Manager.
 4. Click Sound, Video and game controllers.
 5. Select Crystal SoundFusion(tm) Game Device, 
 6. Click Properties button.
 7. Click Driver.
 8. Click Driver File details.
 9. Confirm the file version is 4.12.2884


Uninstalling or Updating Crystal Audio Drivers on Windows 95/98
-----------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Start the system.
  2. Extract the Audio Features for Windows 95/98 onto the hard disk 
     drive.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Click Run.
  5. Specify the installation program SETUP.EXE with full path you 
     extracted in the step 2 and click OK.
  6. Click the Uninstall Crystal Drivers button at the pop-up window.
     Crystal driver uninstall complete window will popup, 
     then click the Shut Down button. Re-start the system.
  7. Installation wizard will detect PCI Multimedia Audio Device,
     Click the Cancel if you don't want to update the driver.
     Click the Next and follow the above installation step 7 if you 
     want to update the driver.
