This package provides the audio driver for Windows XP.
This package enables or updates the audio function of the following
ThinkPad computers:

Installation Instructions   
-------------------------

 1. Start Windows XP and log on with a user ID authorized as an 
    administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. Type C:\DRIVERS\WXP\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE in the Open box and click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
    NOTE: If the Found New hardware Wizard window appears, click Cancel
    to end the wizard.
 6. Click Finish then restart the system.
    NOTE: If the Found New hardware Wizard window appears, click Cancel
    to end the wizard.

Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Start Windows XP.
 2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
 3. Click the Performance and Maintenance.
 4. Click the System icon.
 5. Click the Hardware tab.
 6. Click the Device Manager button.
 7. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
 8. Select ALi Audio Accelerator WDM driver(ALi).
 9. Right-click ALi Audio Accelerator WDM driver(ALi), and select
    Properties.
10. Click the Driver tab. The version number will be displayed.
