Installation instructions ------------------------- This driver can be installed with the ThinkPad Software Installer, or, by following the instcructions in the next section. In both cases, please confirm that the driver is correctly installed, by determining the installed driver version as described below. Installation instructions with Crysetup Installer ------------------------------------------------- Cautions: .This installer supports over installation only. Please leave any existing audio driver as it is. .The Windows Service Pack CD, or its equivalent image might be required during installation, depending on the system environment. 1. Log on to the system (as an administrator) 2. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Command Prompt. 3. Type as follows, where the X: is the full path of the driver location. X:CRYSETUP -S (For exsample, C:\DRIVERS\WXP\AUDIO\CRYSETUP -S) 4. Press Enter. 5. The installation will be completed without any notification in about 1 minute. 6. Type exit and press Enter to close the Command Prompt Window. Determining which version is installed ---------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, click Manage, click Device Manager, then click Sound, video and game controllers. 2. Confirm the Crystal devices: Crystal WDM Audio Codec. 3. Right-click Crystal WDM Audio Codec. 4. Select Properties. 5. Select Driver tab. 6. Click Driver details. 7. Confirm that the last 4 digits of the Driver Version is 4102.
