This is beta software intended for use only in testing systems with
Microsoft Vista operating systems.  Beta software is not fully tested 
and may cause unpredictable operation or loss of data on the system in 
test.

What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the following utility programs for
Windows Vista users:
 - Power Manager

This package enables or updates the utility programs of the following
systems:

 - ThinkPad R51e, R52
 - ThinkPad R60, R60e
 - ThinkPad T43, T43p, T60, T60p
 - ThinkPad X32, X41, X60, X60s
 - ThinkPad X41 Tablet, X60 Tablet
 - ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61t, Z61p

Installation Instructions
-------------------------
Note:
- To determine if you should update the utility programs, refer to the
  "Summary of Changes" section.
- ThinkPad Software Installer provides install/uninstall wizard for this package.

INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows Vista. Logon with a User ID of Administrator.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run...
 4. Type [Program Path]\SETUP, and click OK.
    Program Path is the full path name where you extracted the package
    in the step 2, and click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

UNINSTALL:
 Uninstallation is supported by Programs and Features in Programs of 
 the Control Panel. You have to logon with the user ID authorized 
 as an administrator.
 

Silent Installation Guide (for Unattended Installation support)
---------------------------------------------------------------
(Note)
 This is for system administrators' use only.

 When you type [Program Path]\SETUP in the above installation guide,
 add "-S -SMS" parameter to SETUP.
 (You need to type "[Program Path]\SETUP -S -SMS" in "Run...". )


HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT VERSION IS INSTALLED
------------------------------------------

 1. Start Power Manager.
    The main screen will be displayed.
 2. Select the 'About...' system menu. The version will be displayed.
