WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

  This package installs the software (Ricoh 4-in-1 Media Card Reader
  driver) to enable the following devices.

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Click "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller".
  3. Click "Ricoh Memory Stick Controller","Ricoh MMC Host Controller"
     and "Ricoh xD-Picture Controller".
  4. Click driver tab.
     A version is displayed on a version line.

NOTES

- SD/MMC driver is not included in this driver. ThinkPad SD Storage
  and Standard Host Controller Bus Driver (Q830908) [osda06us] must be
  installed for SD/MMC reader.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
  If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  update the software. To determine if you should update the software,
  refer to the Version Information section.


Manual Install

  1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\4IN1.
  3. For Windows XP, click Start and then click Run.
     For Windows Vista, Click Start, select All Programs, select
     Accessories, then click Run.
  4. Click Browse.
  5. Select the folder where the package was extracted in Step 2.
  6. Select setup.exe.
  7. Click Open.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Unattended Install

  This is for system administrators' use only.

  - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the
    files.
  - At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the -s option.
    (For example) C:\DRIVERS\WIN\4IN1\SETUP.EXE -s
