Start Windows. 2. Click Start, go to Control Panel, choose Classic View. 3. Double-click System. 4. At the Left pane, look for Device Manager. 5. Click Device Manager. 6. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section. 7. Select SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio. 8. Right-click SoundMax Integrated Digital HD Audio, and select Properties. 9. Click the Driver tab. Version along with other information can be seen. 10. Click Driver Details. 11. Select C:\winnt\system32\drivers\ADIHDAud.sys, to display more information. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES Nothing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Notes: If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. Manual Install 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\Drivers\Vista\Audio. 3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run... 4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\Drivers\Vista\Audio\Setup.exe 5. Follow the install instructions. 6. Click Finish and restart the system. Unattended Install This is for system administrators' use only. - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files. - At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the -S -SMS options. Example: C:\DRIVERS\Vista\AUDIO\SETUP.EXE -S -SMS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Start Windows Vista and log on with the user ID authorized as an administrator. 2. Click Start, go to Control Panel, choose Classic View. 3. Select Programs and Features. 4. Click SoundMAX, then click Uninstall. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. 6. System will ask user to reboot, choose "Yes, I want to reboot my computer now".
