WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

This package provides the Fingerprint reader driver for 
Microsoft Windows XP users. The install enables or updates the
fingerprint function.

The following Fingerprint Sensor device is integrated into your
Lenovo 3000 system:

	AuthentTec AES1610

To determine if you should update the fingerprint sensor refer
to the "History of Changes" section.

To update the fingerprint sensor refer to the Installation 
Instructions section.


Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED:


INSTALL:
1. Start Microsoft Windows XP and log on with administrative 
   privileges.
2. Extract the Synaptics Touch Pad files to the hard drive.
   When downloaded file is extracted in the local drive, it is 
   located in    C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\FPR directory by the default. 
3. Click Start, then click Run.
4. In the Open field, type ATMinInst.exe in the extracted directory 
   to install the application.
   Click the OK button to start the installation process.
   If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that
   location instead.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the
   Installation.

UNINSTALL:
1. Click on the Start Menu and select Run
2. Enter MsiExec.exe /I{50F9F0E6-4B44-4E63-A402-85F21F23E552}
3. Follow InstallShield Wizard to remove driver


UNATTENDED INSTALL:
This procedure is intended for system administrator use only.

  1. Logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
     The default extract location is C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\FPR
  3. From a command prompt, navigate to the driver location.
  4. Type msiexec /i ATMinInst.msi /q -S and press Enter.
