WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

This package provides the Audio driver for Windows XP users. The
Audio driver enables or updates the Audio function of Realtek Audio.
The following Audio device is integrated into your Lenovo 3000
system:

  Realtek High Definition Audio

To determine if you should update the Audio driver, refer to the
"History of Changes" section.

To update the Audio driver, refer to the "Installation Instructions"
section.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED:

  1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
  2. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  3. Click the + sign in front of the Sound, video and game
     controllers category.
  4. Double-click Realtek High Definition Audio.
  5. Click the Driver tab, and the driver version will be displayed.

INSTALL:

  1. Logon to Windows with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
     The default extract location is C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\AUDIO
  3. Click Start.
  4. Click Run.
  5. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted
     the package in step 2 above, and click OK.
  6. The device driver wizard will be launched.
  7. When prompted, click Next.
  8. When prompted to restart your computer, click Yes and then Finish.

UNINSTALL:

  1. Logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  3. In the Control Panel window, click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Select "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver".
  5. Click Remove.
  6. When prompted, click Yes.
  7. when prompted to restart your computer, click Yes and then Finish.

UNATTENDED INSTALL:
This procedure is intended for system administrator use only.

  1. Logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
     The default extract location is C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\AUDIO
  3. From a command prompt, navigate to the driver location.
  3. Type "SETUP.EXE -S" and press Enter.
