IntelliLink Connect For HP 100/200LX Version 1.8 README.TXT --------------- Pre-requisites: --------------- Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups 3.1 or 3.11, Windows 95, or Windows NT. ---------------------- Software Installation: ---------------------- Insert diskette, then run "A:SETUP" from Windows. Microsoft Setup is used. Once installed, use the "handheld" icon added to the default Lotus Organizer toolbar to initiate import or export operations. Alternatively, you may choose to invoke the program separately from the IntelliLink Connect program group. Click on the IntelliLink Connect icon to initiate the program. ----------------- Notes & Warnings: ----------------- LOTUS ORGANIZER - IntelliLink Connect cannot create new Lotus Organizer data files during Import operations. Use Organizer to create all new files, and then select the newly-created file as the target file name in IntelliLink Connect. - You can initiate an import or export operation while the selected Organizer file is open by the Lotus Organizer application. However, following an import operation, you need to re-open the Organizer file to view the newly-imported data (forces Organizer to refresh the file display). If you wish to import or export using a file which is open in Organizer, be sure to uncheck the box labeled "Single user access" when saving the file in Lotus Organizer. When this option is checked, only one copy of the file can be opened at any time. - If importing or exporting using a password-protected Organizer file, an Organizer dialog box will appear to prompt for the required password (this is not an IntelliLink dialog box). If you have selected the "All Sections" box in IntelliLink, you will be prompted to re-specify the file password for each section. To avoid these repetitive prompts, temporarily remove the file password using the "Save As" command in Organizer, and restore the password after completing the data transfer operation. - The Lotus Organizer application need not be running in order for IntelliLink Connect to exchange data with the application. It is perfectly acceptable to have Lotus Organizer running during the data transfer operation, but it is not necessary. HP100/200LX HANDHELD - If you have a high speed COM port on your PC (16550 UART), you need to turn off FIFO buffering to use IntelliLink Connect.
