ACCUPDT.EXE is a utility designed to correct Access IBM prior to, or during an upgrade from Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000. Access IBM should be uninstalled prior to upgrading to Windows 2000. While upgrading, a message may appear notifying the user that an uninstallation of the program must be completed before continuing the upgrade to Windows 2000. This message window is due to the uninstallation process of Access IBM. An Access IBM registry entry remains that must be deleted prior completing the upgrade to Windows 2000. ACCUPDT.EXE will detect this registry entry and automatically correct it. Some of the original application links in Access IBM may no longer function after upgrading to Windows 2000. ConfigSafe, Norton Antivirus and System Information are some examples. ACCUPDT.EXE will detect these entries and delete them from the Access IBM menu content. You may also use the "Customize Access IBM" wizard to edit these menu items, or to delete and reinstall any invalid menu item links deactivated by the Windows 2000 upgrade process. After downloading ACCUPDT.EXE, click on Start, then Run, to locate and run the application.
