Utility to enable disable TCP/IP IP autoconfiguration for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 95, 98, Me Version 1 Readme This package installs two INF files which may be used to enable or disable IP Autoconfiguration Addressing under Microsoft Windows 95, 98, or Me. Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Downloading the update ---------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Installing the update --------------------- 1. Click Start, highlight Find, then click Files and folders. 2. Type ipaconoff.exe in the search box, then click Find Now. This will locate the ipaconoff.exe file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the icon for ipaconoff.exe. 4. Click Next. 5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 6. Click Next. 7. Ensure that Save files in folder is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\IPAC. 8. Click Next. 9. Click Finish. Enabling IP Autoconfiguration Addressing ---------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, highlight Find, then click Files and folders. 2. Type ipac_on.inf in the search box, then click Find Now. 3. Right-click the icon for ipac_on.inf. 4. Click Install. Disabling IP Autoconfiguration Addressing ----------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, highlight Find, then click Files and folders. 2. Type ipac_off.inf in the search box, then click Find Now. 3. Right-click the icon for ipac_off.inf. 4. Click Install.
