Memory Differences Between 24/MC and PC / AT
ISA: 3MB; 24 each 256KBx4 Looks like 28 pin ZIPPs
MCA: 3MB; 12 each 256KBx8

For a MC system, install MV24 in highest-level slot available, in following order:
   1st: 32-bit slot with Auxiliary Video Extension
   2nd:16-bit slot with Auxiliary Video Extension
   3rd: Standard 16-bit slot (VGA passthrough cable needed)

The MultiView 24 Interface card is based on the 8514/A graphics standard, which does not allow for two 8514/A interfaces in the same system. Pseudo VGA interface boards based on 8514/ A - like the ATI 85141U1tra, Paradise 8514/A Plus, Diamond Stealth, and Fahrenheit 1280 - or boards based on the 8514/A or S3 graphics chips cannot be used for VGA passthrough and must be disabled, if they are integrated into the motherboard, or removed from the system.

The MultiView 24/MC is compatible with VGA and XGA.

Win95 and NT

The MultiView 24 board will not be updated beyond this driver version, nor will it be supported under Windows 95 or Windows NT. Windows 95 expects a user-accessible base MMIO address, and since the MultiView 24 board predates these requirements by several years and offers no MMIO interface, it will not be possible to retrofit or upgrade it to run under Windows 95.


MV24SET.EXE
   MV24SET.EXE is the setup program for the MultiView 24.  It must be run in order to enable the ROM and select its address, and to select a monitor type and appropriate refresh rates.  MV24SET will be run automatically the first time INSTALL is run on a new MultiView 24.  If you wish to change your ROM address or monitor type or refresh rate after the first time installation to your hard disk, run MV24set.exe 

MV24INIT.EXE
   MV24INIT.EXE is an optional substitute for the on-board ROM.  It performs the same initialization as the ROM does on power-up.  This program should only be installed if MV24SET has been run and it has been determined that the on-board ROM must be disabled due to unresolveable address conflicts. If MV24INIT is used to replace the ROM, it must be run every time the system is booted, preferably as part of the AUTOEXEC.BAT.  The INSTALL utility will automatically add MV24INIT to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file if you so choose.  To install MV24INIT, run INSTALL from the Utilities and Drivers disk, select MV24INIT, and complete the installation according to the on-screen instructions. 

CLR24.EXE
   CLR24.EXE is a screen clearing utility for the MultiView 24 when it is used in a dual-screen configuration (VGA and MultiView 24 connected to separate monitors).  If an application leaves a graphics image on the MultiView 24 screen after exiting, CLR24.EXE can be run to clear the image from the MultiView 24 screen.  To run this utility after installation to your hard disk, run CLR24.exe

FPP1024.EXE
   FPP1024.EXE is a utility for 1024x768 modes when the MultiView 24 is connected to a Radius Full Page Pivot display.

   This allows you to disable the Radius MultiView 24 card.

   This allows you to disable the EPROM of the card.  This is useful only if other adapters conflict with the MultiView 24."  [mem 0CA000h - 0CA7FFh]

 Note that if you have disabled the ROM, you must run MV24INIT.EXE, which is the RAM replacement for the ROM, every time you boot your system.
