NETBuilder II FDDI Module

NETBuilder II Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) Module Installation Guide

Multi-mode accepts multi-mode duplex fiber of 62.5/125um. An 11-db optical budget size allows cables up to 2km long.
Interface speed: 25MHz
Controller speed: 12.5MHz
Clocks: 25MHz symbol clock rate, 12.5MHz byte clock rate

Note: In a 4 or 8 slot chassis, the MAC board is installed ABOVE the PHY board.

Note: In 4 or 8 slot chassis, the MAC board MUST be installed first.

Note: Both single- and multi-mode FDDI modules need version 7.2 or later of the NETBuilder Family Bridge/Router software.
