7-30 Waters Experience
Other than deer hunting with 120 grain Noslers, I hadn't done too
much with cast bullets. Then one day, a 285448 came home with me.
285448 (118gr) vs 285129 (124gr)
Both use Top Punch 346. Though from the looks, they rim of the TP
could be sanded a bit.
The 285448 is the right size to neatly fit into the 7-30 Waters
chamber neatly. See the ogive continues all the way into the first
groove? There is a Kephart scraper above the first band.
The 285129 has a different construction. The ogive runs into the top
groove diameter band. This makes the groove diameter portion farther
forward.

Forgot the sized diameter (.285, I think)... The flier
is most likely due to bad casting or poor shooting on my part, or
both.

This currently produced mold has rounded lube grooves. Boy is that
an odd sight...
