Ideal Tool #1

Ideal Tool #1

The Ideal #1 Tool

This is where the line of Ideal reloading tools started.

The Ideal #1 was made of nickel plated steel, bears the company identification and patent dates, as well as the intended calibre.

In 1885 this model was displayed in the Marlin catalogue.  By the time the 1888 catalogue was released, the line had expanded considerably.

The Ideal #1 was made to reload handguns and small rifle cartridges of the time.  It had a bullet mould, but no bullet sizer.  The seating/crimping chamber was not adjustable.  A capping feature was located in the handle, or with some it was found on the mould end.

It was in production until 1926.
