2.5.2.3 Pod Assembly Checks

Resistance checks are done with POWER OFF and power cord DISCONNECTED.

  1.  Refer to Fig 8-7.

  2.  Connect meter across pins A and B on mains connector.

  3.  Short across pins 1 and 4 on connector F2.

  4.  With power switch ON, the resistance should be less than 5 ohms.

5.  Connect meter between pin 1 (GND) and pin 4 (CONT) on connector H3 (Fig 8-7).

6.  When contrast control moves max to min, the resistance range should be at least 8 kΩ.

7.  Connect meter between pin 1 (GND) and pin 3 (BRIGHT +) on connector H3.

8.  When brightness control moves max to min, the resistance range should be at least 4 kΩ.

9.  Replace the pod assembly if any of these checks are not correct.
