The script to turn off & on the GSC checking on the Patent Server site is
   /gsc/setgsc off
or             on

To send a page to the patent list, say almpage patent ...

To acknowledge a GSC event, go to the bottom, "Registered Services" window and
double-click on the line you want to change.  From there, go to the
"Enter Ack or Append message if any:" window and type some stuff in, then
click on "Ack" if this is the initial acknowledgement, probably taking their
1 hour default, or "Append" if you're adding additional text to the problem.

To modify GSC entries, 
  telnet userpage (aka turkey)
  login as paging (password is the same as the island machines)
  gscusers

For example, Jon Rienke asked to use a different pager temporarily.

Rose normally does this, but showed me how.  We selected C for change a
user, specified Jon's id, which was jon, and just changed the things
above.  For all the other things, we just hit enter, which left them
unchanged.

On 7-23-99, when I tried this, I learned that Rick Haeckel keeps a separate
duplicate database of this information, and there are other paging carriers
that are not obvious, so the best thing to do is to have Rick change these
numbers.

Rob Larsen says that all systems monitoring GSC events should be using the
latest gscsend command, which will always be in /afs/alm/ais/k89/pub/gsc/bin.
I don't know where gscsend lives on a machine.
