The script to turn off & on the GSC checking on the Patent Server site is /gsc/setgsc off or on ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To send a page to the patent list, say almpage patent ... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To acknowledge a GSC event, go to the bottom, "Registered Services" window and double-click on the line you want to change. From there, go to the "Enter Ack or Append message if any:" window and type some stuff in, then click on "Ack" if this is the initial acknowledgement, probably taking their 1 hour default, or "Append" if you're adding additional text to the problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To modify GSC entries, telnet userpage (aka turkey) login as paging (password is the same as the island machines) gscusers For example, Jon Rienke asked to use a different pager temporarily. ---- Old ---- -- New -- 1-800-504-8606 488-4772 080-1170 111-8543 pagenetnw pagenet Rose normally does this, but showed me how. We selected C for change a user, specified Jon's id, which was jon, and just changed the things above. For all the other things, we just hit enter, which left them unchanged. On 7-23-99, when I tried this, I learned that Rick Haeckel keeps a separate duplicate database of this information, and there are other paging carriers that are not obvious, so the best thing to do is to have Rick change these numbers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rob Larsen says that all systems monitoring GSC events should be using the latest gscsend command, which will always be in /afs/alm/ais/k89/pub/gsc/bin. I don't know where gscsend lives on a machine.
