The Eagan site uses what they call "remcon" to get to Unix machines'

serial consoles.  You can contact Randy Rubin or tlr.remcon@thomson.com

for help.  On 10-11-2005, Randy set everything up so we can get to

our AIX machines out there.



To get access to an Eagan machine's serial console, use



  ssh -t delphion:walrus@163.231.93.6



The delphion userid's password is global.  Once there, you probably

won't see the initial login: prompt, but don't worry.  Go ahead and

type in your userid (probably root) and things will work fine from

there on.



When you exit or logoff, you get the login: prompt again.  To exit

from all of this, use the ssh exit sequence, <enter>~. (ie, the

enter key, followed by the tilde character (shift-1), followed by

a period).



For example,
