No room PC address space for 5250 RAM


PROBLEM - PS/Valuepoint systems (all machine types and models) may display a message stating "no room pc address space for 5250 ram" when the enhanced 5250 emulation program is started.

Machines AFFECTED - All Valuepoint systems.

SOLUTION - This error message is caused by memory management. The enhanced 5250 emulation adapter requires 8KB of ROM that must be mapped to the upper memory region of the system.

If EMM386.EXE is used as a memory manager, use one of the following "exclude" parameters depending on the configuration of the 5250 adapter.

This error message may also occur if the "HISCAN" parameter is used with EMM386.exe.
