NE2000 Ethernet card / memory failure


PROBLEM - With the NE2000 Ethernet card plugged in, AT IPX/SPX load time (NE2K.COM file), the operation fails with a "Ethernet memory failure" message.

Machines AFFECTED - All 6382, 6384 and 6387 VP2 systems

SOLUTION - The problem is caused by AT vs. IEEE IOCHRDY bus incompatibility. Replace riser card which incorporates the jumper to select between the AT vs. the IEEE setting. Jumper to be set at IEEE setting
