527MB IDE hardfile / low level format
PROBLEM - The 527MB IDE hardfile cannot be "unconditionally" low level formatted when
installed in a PS/Valuepoint 6382/S, 6384/D, or 6387/T system. The advanced
diagnostics report that "this function is not supported on this drive" if the unconditional
format option is selected from the hard file format menu.
Machines AFFECTED - All 6382/S, 6384/D, and 6387/T systems.
SOLUTION - PS/Valuepoint advanced diagnostic diskette version 1.2 does contain the
software support necessary to perform the unconditional format procedure.
Additional Information - The 527MB drive can be "conditionally" formatted by selecting
the "conditional format" option at the hardfile format menu.
