SCO UNIX will not install correctly


PROBLEM - SCO UNIX will not install correctly on some Valuepoint machines.

Machines AFFECTED - All 6382/S and 6384/D and 6387/T's.

SOLUTION - Three actions are required to install SCO UNIX. the first is the l2 cache must be removed from the system. Once SCO UNIX is installed the cache may be reinstalled. second, a boot diskette from SCO UNIX (408-425-4SCO) is required. The diskette is titled the "IBM compatibility efs". The third action is a FLASH update (level 51 or higher) is required. The FLASH update can be obtained from the IBM BBS.
